SENIOR CARE ORGANIZATION CHANGES ITS NAME TO THE LUTHERAN CARE NETWORK
Formerly Wartburg Lutheran Services, TLC Network Better Positioned for Growth in Senior Care Services
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Dec. 7 – Wartburg Lutheran Services announces that its Board of Directors has voted to change the name of the non-profit organization to The Lutheran Care Network.
TLC Network operates a network of 11 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, adult care homes, community housing, independent living apartments, and home care services in New York, spanning from Long Island to the Hudson Valley to the Albany, N.Y., Capital District.
The Board of Directors changed the name to better reflect the organization’s full-range of elderly care services, according to President and CEO Frank Tripodi. “We are a network of services, that cares for people at all stages of aging, whether they can live independently on their own, need some home-care assistance, or require the care of a skilled nursing center. We care for seniors all along their journey. They can grow with us and age in place.”
Founded as a social service ministry of the Lutheran Church, the organization was originally named for the Wartburg Castle, located in Germany where theologian Martin Luther took refuge during the Reformation.
While the organization has roots in the Lutheran Church, all TLC Network facilities and services care for people of all faiths.
A new logo has been designed to better illustrate the TLC Network. It includes a cross and a heart to symbolize faith and love, two common Christian themes intrinsic to the mission and values of The Lutheran Care Network.
The new look better positions TLC Network for the evolving future of senior care.
“With senior citizens living longer, healthier lives, the need for services that better meet their new requirements for care will grow,” said Tripodi. “At the same time, we understand that families, already busy with jobs, children, and lives of their own, want the gold standard in care for their loved ones, without worry. We are poised and ready for that growth.”
